You can never be too young (or too old) to start a good skincare routine. That said, it’s important to remember that most experts say that no matter your age, less is more. Your skin can only absorb so much product, meaning if you layer too much it’s just going to go to waste; the product will sit on the skin versus actually absorbing into it. And, as for babies and toddlers, they don’t actually need much other than soap and/or bath bubbles and depending on the weather, a little bit of lotion and/or face cream.

I learned a lot of this the hard way. I bought countless products when my first child was born (with brands like Dr. Barbara Sturm and Chantecaille having launched tot skincare, the temptations were endless…), but I ended up using most of the things I bought on myself because my son really didn’t require all that much of anything.

With that I can confidently say that when it comes to body products like lotions, washes and soaks, you can find some of the best products looking at kids lines.

Here’s a look at some of the best children’s beauty lines, that adults will love too.
