Still a bit gutted that Hedi didn’t end up at Chanel. Ah well, Celine’s gain. Nothing crazy new to see here but his brand of retro-modernism for Winter 24 (just teased in a film) looks contemporary and cool – yet surprisingly un-grungy – in the way only Hedi’s can.
It’s the high-shine block-heeled riding boots and shrunken turtlenecks for me…
What is new is the launch of Celine Beauté, starting with lipsticks. Who needs a new lipstick line? Clearly no-one. Apart from me, I guess. Following from the haute parfumerie of 2019, 15 shades of Le Rouge Celine, including the nude rose seen in the film, will drop in 2025 preceded by a classic red satin lipstick shade, Rouge Triomphe (below) this autumn.
