This year, I’m looking forward to T-shirt weather more than ever. As part of the ongoing collaboration between That’s Not My Age and Dandy Star, we’ve created some new, age-positive designs in a range of chic colours. The organic cotton T-shirt is a relaxed fit with a dolman sleeve (which has a rolled cuff ) and a rib neckline. It’s great with skirts, jeans and joggers. That’s my summer wardrobe sorted.
And I can’t wait to see you wearing them! Please send photos.
WEAR YOUR AGE WITH PRIDE: DANDY STARS x THAT’S NOT MY AGE T-SHIRTS
The classic ‘Old School’ T-shirt (top picture) comes in navy cotton with white varsity-style lettering. And, to tie-in with our greetings card collection we’re also launching ‘Keep Moving.’ This slogan has a double meaning; it could be interpreted as staying interested and involved and not getting stuck in a rut; or keeping mobile as we get older. You can wear one to Pilates…
All T-shirts are £45, available in sizes XS-XXL.
The signature grey ‘& Wiser’ sweatshirt continues to be a bestseller, so we’ve switched to T-shirt form for summer. This high season update comes in a beautiful soft grey with subtle metallic lettering.
I often refer to myself as Old School, in terms of style, not attitude, and always see this as a positive. As the Urban Dictionary definition of Old School says, ‘Anything that is from an earlier era and looked upon with high regard or respect.’ And that includes you. For summer, we’re introducing the ‘Old School’ sweatshirt in a lovely antique cream colour, printed with dark green varsity style lettering. It has the oversized fit, raglan sleeves and an old-school athletic vibe that’s been really popular with customers. And is made from 85% organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester. Sizes: S-XL.
Or how about a VINTAGE tee in classic grey marl? We should be proud of our age and achievements. And I hope you’ll proudly wear one of our new T-shirt designs.
BLESS MY COTTON SOCKS…GENEVIEVE SWEENEY x TNMA
Last Christmas I gave you my sparkly socks…this year knitwear designer Genevieve Sweeney and I have joined forces again, to bring you cotton socks for spring. The socks are designed and made in the UK using three to four different colours of organic cotton twisted together. Both styles repurpose end-of-line production yarn which is a great way of creating zero waste. The Samar Marl (three different colours) is £20, and the Samar Argyle (four different colours) is £22. Available in sizes 4-7 and 6-8.5. All the cotton is GOTS certified.
THE RESORT DRESS: SARAH O’KEEFE x TNMA
On holiday in Menorca last year, I discovered a chic boutique filled with elegant women and lovely things. In the sweltering heat I treated myself to a lightweight cotton, resort dress, perfect for sightseeing (wafting in and out of posh shops and local cafes). Earlier this year I spoke to Sarah O’Keefe about the possibility of designing something similar to go in my overhead luggage. And ta-dah! This lightweight, button-front dress in shirting fabric has a dipped hem at the back and a tie-belt. We are calling it the Harbour dress after Mahon in Menorca which has one of the largest natural harbours in the world. The cotton fabric is digitally screen-printed in India and the dress is handmade in small quantities, in Bristol, by talented seamstress Carla Diogo. Sizes S, M, L, £120. This is a really useful addition to your holiday wardrobe.
The TNMA Edit is created in collaboration with small, independent designers. See the full That’s Not My Age Edit HERE.
