THINKING AHEAD TO VALENTINE’S DAY

Good Morning, gang! I hope you all have had a good weekend! We have had cabin fever so badly that we had dinner out both nights. Saturday night was with friends to celebrate a birthday.

I’m in a very blue mood today, and therefore, this will be a short post. One of my best friends in all the world lost her son this weekend. I have been so sick, and my heart goes out to her and her family. It’s particularly hard because we don’t live in the same state and all I want to do is hug her tight.

Life is so precious and fragile. If you are a prayerful person, would you be so kind as to pray for her? She is part of this blog community of women. I don’t know what else to do except pray!

Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I thought I would give you a few gift and outfit ideas.

I used to always give my kids a new swimsuit (for the guys) or Spring outfit for VD and of course chocolates of some sort. Now that they are grown, they prefer a gift card to their favorite restaurant. I still like to give them the card with chocolate! This is my new favorite chocolate, however, it is not packaged for Valentine’s Day, but you could put it in a cute bag.

My husband and I are so obsessed with it that he made me buy as many bags as Trader Joe’s had!

Skincare Products

This doesn’t really have anything to do with Valentine’s Day, but I wanted to share (while I was thinking about it) two products with you that have made a huge difference in my skin. We are all probably too old to have break-outs at this point in our lives, but because of mask-wearing, I have noticed that my chin has some deep blackheads. I have been using this clay mask by Chantecaille that has helped clear the congestion, plus it is not drying. I am also using this Anti-Pollution Mattifying Cream on my chin when I know that I will have to wear a mask.

It’s like a barrier for bacteria. I just thought I would share with you all because some of you may have been having this happen to you too!

Okay, back to Valentine’s Day! I need to do some shopping myself for my grandkids and my husband. I usually procrastinate and end up paying extra to send the grandkid’s gifts to Ohio.

Not this year! I am ordering as I am picking out the items I’ve included below. I hope these ideas inspire you if you have VD gifts to buy!
