Beauty For the Heart
– For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Psalm 117:2
Truth: Psalm 117:2 is a short but powerful verse that reminds us of God’s great love and faithfulness. The psalmist begins by declaring that God’s love is “great toward us.”
The second part of the verse speaks of God’s faithfulness. This faithfulness is not just a promise that God will keep his word, but a covenant that he will never abandon us. It is a faithfulness that is “eternal,” lasting for all time.
These two truths, God’s great love and his eternal faithfulness, are the foundation of our hope. When we feel lost or alone, we can remember that God loves us and will never leave us. When we face challenges, we can trust that God is faithful to his promises and will work all things for our good (Romans 8:28).
