I couldn’t care less about sports but, like most, I’m at the very least curious about game day commercials and the Super Bowl Halftime Show (Rihanna!!). I also like to get into the spirit fashion-wise. Last year I opted for American Flag print activewear from Beach Riot (similar to this) because I wanted to get into the spirit, but had no clue who was even playing. Plus, I figured I could re-use the outfit come 4th of July.

When it comes to fashion, it doesn’t get more American than denim.

To give this look a fashion-forward touch – and to allow for comfort if you find yourself indulging in a few too many pigs in a blanket, opt for wide cut jeans paired with a boyfriend-style blazer, as seen in the look above.

If denim is the ultimate American fabric, Ralph Lauren is the ultimate American designer. If you don’t have an allegiance for one team or another, but you want to show pride in one of America’s favorite pastimes, the designer has a number of American flag themed options that you could opt for instead of a team’s colors.

A Literal Super Bowl Look

This avenue is especially fun if you have children. Carter’s, for example, has a ton of football and team-specific clothing options for as little as $5 (like the onesie pictured above), while brands like adidas offer team jerseys as well as football-inspired crop tops.

An Athleisure Super Bowl Look

Stirrup leggings are a huge trend right now and they play perfectly into dressing for a day of sports. They’re also versatile, especially if you opt for black.

You can just as easily pair them with a fitted top, as pictured above, or pair them with a chunky oversized sweater.
