Happy Friday, ladies! One of the things I love to do in the summer is spending time with my family. Summer cookouts and get-togethers are a huge part of our summer activities.

I like to have some comfortable shorts to wear and of course some cute tops to go with the shorts. JCPenney has a great selection of summer clothes, and I found two short outfits that are perfect for your summer activities.

A sleeveless button-down is perfect for an outdoor cookout.

A lot of you asked for some stylish and affordable shorts for summer. These denim shorts from JCPenney are stylish and under $15 with code JUNEBUG. I’m wearing the medium blue tide color, and they have some slight distressing.

I paired the outfit with some wedge sandals. I like the white sole and the adjustable strap.

Next up, I’m wearing a St. John’s Bay Off the Shoulder Blouse. This outfit is a little dressier so I wouldn’t be cooking if I wear this blouse and shorts.

I dressed this short outfit up with a pair of Unisa Sully Flat Sandals with a cute chain detail.
