My love for smocking goes way back, but I think it really hit its peak while I was pregnant. Oh, how I was so grateful for those extra stretchy waists and forgiving bodices. Now almost everything seems to have a touch of smocking- whether around the waist, cuff or neckline. And I am still grateful for this extra bit of give, because it makes the wear that much more comfortable. Anything that doesn’t have a bit of give is really not that practical for life with a toddler, too!
