While the media obsesses over Beyonce’s tour-drobe, I’m digging Siouxsie’s onstage look. After 10 years away from the limelight, the punk singer is playing live again. The gothic black hair now beautifully streaked grey. The slinky Pam Hogg jumpsuit paired with statement sneakers.
Yeah, this is what 66 looks like.
To many women who grew up in the seventies, Siouxsie is an icon. Together with Patti Smith and Debbie Harry, she owned a strong, singular look and inspired us to do our own thing. These trailblazing front-women were renowned for wearing what they wanted, having control over their image and not giving a damn. I love that Siouxsie’s idiosyncratic dress sense has remained the same for nearly 50 years.
The fact that she’s embracing her age, in her own way.
