Beauty For the Heart
– Some words are mentioned quite a few times in scripture, and when they are, I think there’s a reason. Abide is mentioned over one hundred times.
Christ is reminding us to abide. Abide in Him, in His Word, and in His grace. It takes discipline to slow down and remain in God’s word, but without it, we can’t live victoriously.
Here are some scriptures that remind us to abide in Christ.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7
Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:9
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. John 15:4
Let’s be intentional today and abide in Him!
