Living Room Halloween Decor – Hallowmas

Sharing our Hallowmas – Halloween with a mix of Christmas – decor in the living room, featuring this beautiful King Noble Fir tree provided by King of Christmas. Who is ready for Halloween weekend? It’s officially Holiday season! Well go on and scroll then!

Living Room Halloween Decor: Hallowmas

I didn’t invent the idea of “Hallowmas”. I’ve heard the term here and there.

Probably even thought, who the heck needs this combination of holidays? But this Halloween decor in our living room happened by chance… okay, maybe out of necessity. A couple of weeks ago, King of Christmas sent me this beautiful 6-ft King Noble Fir Christmas tree. Of course, I had to see it, check it and share with you my honest thoughts.

It is gorgeous, VERY well-made, well-packaged, even came with it’s own tree bag, gloves, and a decent instruction guide. I AM OBSESSED with it. NO BIAS or anything – IT IS SO GOOD!

My only dilemma? It was way before Halloween and I NEED/WANT my Halloween decorations too!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I mentioned I want this tree at the lake house. But it was way too early to decorate with Airbnb guests staying in October and November! So as I was holding another fake spider web decoration in my hand, and some fake spiders in the other, I casually threw it over the tree to see how it would look.

And the rest just all came together…

My DIY real Maiden Grass (ornamental grass similar to Pampas Grass)

Cut a few stems from our yard, spray-painted them black, and voila… instant Halloween decor! Click here to watch the process.

Extra Halloween Decor Touches

Halloween treats/goodie bags in a MacKenzie Childs Colander (c/o Mackenzie Childs).

Mackenzie Childs courtly check (black and white check) print is so perfect during the holiday season. It goes so well with Halloween decor, Thanksgiving (add hints of rust, mustard, jewel tones), and an elegant Christmas (add red and green)! Treat bags with skull tags c/o Oriental Trading.

Black Washi Tape

From candle sticks to vases, even my bust pot – they all got a taste of my black washi tape DIY! Hahaha!

Below, the black tears and the black stripes in the vase holding lavender are both made with washi tape.

The battery-operated candle sticks on the fireplace mantel are also decorated with black washi tape. Click here for my Facebook video how-to.

And of course, don’t forget the cute pup! Haha. Chloe wasn’t too happy about her bee costume.

Watch here and here.

And if you’re still looking for a last-minute costume, check out my previous post for some ideas!
