Lily-Rose Depp Brought Back the Jean Trend I Wore Every Day in High School

Much has been said about skinny jeans and their foil, baggy wide-leg jeans. But one classic style doesn't get close to the same level of attention in fashion right now: bootcut jeans. Just compare the number of search results for bootcut versus skinnies and you'll see the selection is nowhere near as plentiful. I wore bootcut jeans nearly every single day in high school—shoutout to my 7 for All Mankind and Hudson pairs.

But now, Lily-Rose Depp might just convince me to bust them out again.

I don't know about you, but I always had the impression that wearing running shoes with bootcut jeans didn't quite feel right, but Lily-Rose Depp pulled it off with aplomb while on a Starbucks run—and it certainly didn't hurt that hers were Chanel sneakers. She wore a super practical outfit including a Tina Park puffer jacket, Courreges fanny pack, and Levi's jeans, so you can probably recreate the look with pieces you already have. Scroll down to see how Lily-Rose Depp styled bootcut jeans.

Next, don't blame me if these 27 sandals are sold out by March.
