LAVENDER AND WHITE CHECK CARDIGAN

In March, winter is holding back, and spring is pulling forward. Something holds, and something pulls inside of us too.” —Jean Hersey. Happy March to everyone! I, for one, am so happy that February is behind us. It seems like everyone is feeling that way.

I can’t wait for the warmer weather and to watch the flowers start to bloom. I need to be inspired and have not felt that way all winter. Speaking of being inspired, this adorable lavender and white check cardigan is the first spring item that got me excited to make a purchase.

I LOVE the color lavender and am always a sucker for it. Even when I was a blonde (yes, many years ago), it was one of my favorite colors to wear.

I picked up this cardi at Maje (one of my favorite stores) on a gloomy Saturday, and it immediately lifted my mood. So I couldn’t wait to wear it. I was debating between the cardigan and this shacket (found this one that is less expensive) but decided to go with the cardigan. And I am, however, getting ready to order this cardigan (so fun for dinner out) because I have been thinking about it non-stop.

I paired the cardigan with a fun Re-Done graphic tee, which is almost sold out.

But I found this one that would be as adorable. I am wearing straight-leg jeans and my glitter sneaks. Did you know that Gen Z has declared skinny jeans and side parts are a sure-fire sign that the wearer is “old” and “out of touch”? This is definitely not why I am wearing these jeans.

When I read that, it made me want to wear skinny jeans more. I think they are the generation that is heading the cancel culture. And I don’t give a crap what they say! I still love skinny jeans and a side part, so there!

I will wear them next time!

It was amazing seeing my daughter on Friday!

She has been staying with us since she arrived. She brought a nine-month-old Pomski puppy with her. The dog had to fly cargo (18 hours in a crate!), and we had a bit of a dramatic and traumatic night with her. Poor thing was traumatized, but the UK won’t allow service dogs in the plane.

All is better now! We are just so happy to have her home!

I am off to the dentist to have about three hours of dental work done this morning. It’s my least favorite thing to do, and it stresses me out more than anything. My teeth took a beating with chemo, and like my doctor says, “breast cancer is the gift that keeps on giving.” I wish they could knock me out and wake me up when it’s over!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
