As editor-in-chief of Vogue Poland, Ina Lekiewicz often opts to get behind the lens to capture the Polish fashion bible’s front covers herself. To recall just a few occasions, the magazine’s December 2021, March 2022 and January/February 2023 covers have each been photographed by the multi-talented individual in the past. It’s a repeat performance with Vogue Poland’s first offering of 2024, with Lekiewicz photographing model Julia Banas for a duo of January/February covers. Captured under the clear blue skies on location in the Mojave Desert, the Polish model wears a red Richard Quinn creation in cover one (below), while stylist Ashlee Barrett-Bourmier selected pieces from Isabel Marant and Puppets and Puppets for Julia to model in cover number two (after the jump).

Read below the reaction’s of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Same old, same old.

First cover is the only decent one. Vogue Poland is so boring, inoffensive, bland. Every cover looks like a basic photography student’s project. I will never understand how Ina got this job. She has nothing to say as a photographer, let alone editor,” voiced a disgruntled avonlea002.

Also not sold was vogue28: “Not convinced by any of this.

I’m not expectant of a great deal from Vogue Poland (never and never will, at this rate) but despite the red, the covers just feel so… cold. Bland photography, bland styling and a bland model.”

“I like the first, more zoomed out cover choice. However, the model does not appeal to me,” forum member MModa chimed in.

“Yet another Vogue cover where someone… just stands there. Doesn’t matter whether it’s inside a studio or outdoors at a location, the Vogue approach to fashion has become so lifeless and static.

No real sense of energy or narrative,” voiced tigerrouge.
