As much as flashy, trendy items are quick to grab my attention, it's the basics that do the actual heavy lifting in my closet. Last summer, my daily uniform consisted of mostly simple white tank tops and easy oversize button-downs, so in that same vein, I'm putting all the focus on basics again for my cool-weather wardrobe. I've waded through my fair share of pricey, luxurious pieces to basics on the penny-pinching cheap end, but isn't it rewarding when you can find a happy medium? Of course, there are trend-forward pieces included, such as faux-leather dresses and matching sets, but the collection is also a jackpot for streamlined basics that only look expensive.
