Happy Friday, gang! I hope your week has been good! We have had the windiest weather here the last few days, so much so that my husband said the neighbors are probably mad at us because our windchime( it’s a big one) is so loud. It was so warm at the first part of the week, and now I’m freezing again! It’s Texas! One other thing going on here is the border crisis. I don’t want to get political at all, but I am so upset about it. I’m upset for the children and what is happening to so many of them. Human trafficking (makes my blood boil) has been tugging at my heartstrings for a while now, and I wish I knew how to help! Okay, I got that out!

Today, I wanted to show you all this adorable folksy floral top. I was doing a little shopping on the Shopbop site and saw this fun top. I love florals for spring, and this was just the right amount, and I liked the colors (it doesn’t make it look so sweet). Of course, this folksy floral top is amazing with all blue denim and white shades, and it’s under $100! Still wearing skinny jeans over here (sorry, Gen Z), and these fit like a glove. They are a high-rise pair from Veronica Beard with some stretch.

I broke down and bought the Dior slides I am wearing.

I really wanted to get them in a bright color, but my daughter talked me into getting the classic blue pair. In fact, I have wanted a pair for a couple of years and finally bit the bullet. They will be my spring and summer sandal, so get used to seeing them (gotta make my investment work for me)!

I am not one to promote fake bags, but I did buy the bag I am carrying from the same website that I got this one that I showed here.

It’s a copy of the Botegga Cassette Bag, and I wanted to see if it really looked like the real one, plus I wanted a cream color bag. It is made with real leather and seems to be well constructed for the price. I am not in love with the real Botegga so much that I would actually purchase it (that’s just me!). I think padding on bags and shoes is having a moment. And not sure it will last. I would, however, buy the padded Botegga (real) sandals ;).

We were supposed to have some close friends over for dinner tonight, but one has come down with Covid, so that is a big fat NO! I don’t know about you, but I am itching to do something like travel. And I know I shouldn’t complain because we are so blessed and healthy, but I am BORED! I am a go-er and a do-er. And it’s hard for me to stay at home so much (even though I love being home). Does that sound a little contradictory, and anyone else feeling the same? Our weekend is now filled with absolutely nada! I hope you have some fun plans!

Have a great day and weekend; stay well and safe! xx
