COS Just Opened in My Neighborhood—Here’s What I’m Very Tempted to Buy

As anyone who lives in New York will tell you, Williamsburg is the new SoHo. For better or worse, North 6th Street, in particular—just a couple of blocks from my apartment—has transformed into a bona fide shopping destination, home to the likes of Glossier, Byredo, and Chanel Beauty, not to mention Hermès, Reformation, and Madewell.

My newest neighbor is COS, which is equal parts excellent and dangerous. I used to *innocently* walk my dog past every day, but now that Ruby knows the lovely staff have treats for her behind the counter, I've been forced to go inside more than once. In the name of research, I’ve been taking mental note of the rich-looking styles that are giving the most quiet luxury energy.

Here’s what’s at the top of my wish list, including picks from in-store, some online exclusives, and the one chic item I couldn't not buy.

Knit joggers have become a big part of my personality.

Devastated this amazing double-breasted coat I tried on in-store is currently sold out online, but adding the link here anyway just in case it comes back in stock!

This is a good one to eye in the meantime.

Show me a better leather belt for under $100.

I can't cope with how good this dress is.

Making your commute cute.

Cloud-like softness.

Such a great price for classic leather loafers.

Minimal, but definitely not boring.

This slouchy bag feels very downtown luxe.

This winter-ready wool waistcoat came home with me.

No one told me there's a matching skirt!

Okay, I believe this nipped-waist blazer might also match my new vest? Do the pants? I need to investigate further.

Speaking of matching sets, a moment for this longline cardigan.

And matching column skirt.

Truly the perfect trousers.

Really into this decidedly non-boring brown tone.

Cylindrical bags are doing it for me.

Practical and chic.

Like this one.

Okay, COS bags are going to be a theme here.

The platform is making me even more inclined to add these to my cart.

Easily a yes.

This abstract Fair Isle knit comes a close second.

Cashmere-lined gloves are such a secret little luxury.

Or mittens!

Speaking of cozy, we're doing hoods this season.

Best oversize scarf I've seen in a minute. (And I've been looking.)

Be warned: These socks will ruin you for all other socks.

Eliza convinced me I need more velvet in my life.

A heeled boot you can wear all day.

This color is so rich.
