These jeans run a little big. I’m wearing a size 27, but I could size down because they have some stretch (I washed them, and they didn’t shrink).

Beauty For the Heart– For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:14

Truth: Paul summarizes the entire law of Moses in one command: love your neighbor as yourself. This command is not new; it was given by God to Moses in Leviticus 19:18.

Paul’s point is that this command is the essence of the law. All the other commandments, such as “do not murder,” “do not steal,” and “do not commit adultery,” are summed up in this one command to love.

Why is love so important?

Because love is the opposite of selfishness. In a world that says to do whatever makes you feel good, God asks us to be selfless and put others’ needs before our own.

When we love others, we sacrifice our own time, energy, and resources. We are also willing to forgive others when they hurt us, and we choose to love others, even when it is difficult. When we choose to love, we become more like Jesus.
