It’s moving day! There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens. Ecclesiastes 3:1
There really is a time for everything. Life is a constant state of fluctuation. There are times to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to plant and a time to uproot.
All these things are part of God’s plan for our lives, and we can trust that He will give us the strength to endure whatever season we are in.
When we moved into this house, we had been through several difficult years. Wayne and I were broken and hurt, and this house became a home for healing.
It was like a salve for our souls. It has been more than a home; it’s been a place we met with Jesus, and He helped heal us from the wounds of life.
This home has been filled with so much joy. Claire and Caroline (our granddaughters) were both born while we lived in this house, and Colt was only six years old when we moved in.
We have had so many after-church Sunday dinners filled with laughter and the best afternoon naps!
We’ve had lots of cookouts, family get-togethers, and Christmas sleepovers.
There have been Easter egg hunts.
And lots of morning snuggles when Colt, Claire, and Caroline stayed the night.
Our sweet Sania (my sister’s daughter) was baptized in our swimming pool. This is a picture of my sister and her family in our home the day Sania was baptized.
I’ve stared out our front windows and watched the sunrise more times than I can count.
Every time I was reminded of God’s faithfulness and how He paints such a beautiful sky.
This house has been a home filled with love, and I will hold all the memories close to my heart.
Today, we move all our things out, and I pray the next family will love this home as much as we have loved it.
We’re off to a new chapter, a new home. Lord, bless our new house; make it a home with a welcoming feel, and let it overflow with love. Amen and Amen.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.
Let your beauty shine from the inside out today!
