I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. It’s been chilly and rainy here, and I was able to stay home all day yesterday, which was so nice.
A few weeks ago, we traveled in our RV to Texas. We visited several places, including San Antonio and Fort Worth, and we had so much fun.
Over the two weeks of traveling, we had a few small mishaps. Our refrigerator stopped working, we overflowed the toilet, part of the leveling system stopped working, and Wayne hit a dump truck at a gas station.
It didn’t hurt the dump truck, but it put a couple of scratches on our RV.
We didn’t let any of those mishaps ruin our trip; it’s part of the journey of traveling in an RV.
When we pulled into our driveway after two weeks of traveling, Wayne and I remarked that our RV was limping in. It had been through a lot over the two weeks we were gone.
I couldn’t help but think that is how I feel at times. I’ve lived enough life that I’ve had some bumps and bruises along the way. At times I feel like I have a slight limp.
There’s no doubt life can be hard.
This summer was difficult for our family as our granddaughter was born at 31 weeks, and she spent 47 days in the NICU. At times we were all weary.
The last two years of living through a pandemic has taken a toll on all of us. We are weary from this horrible virus.
My guess is that some of you reading this right now are weary. None of us are exempt from pain in this life.
But here is what I KNOW.
We might get weary, but there is HOPE; Jesus says come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28)
Today, let me encourage you to hold on and know that you don’t walk this journey alone.
I recently heard this song, Weary Traveler, and it describes perfectly how I feel at times but it also reminds me that I’m not alone and heaven is my real home.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.
Let your beauty shine from the inside out today!
