Yesterday was a hard day of remembering all that took place 20 years ago. It’s still hard for me to believe that it’s been 20 years.

In some ways, it feels like it just happened. I remember thinking our world would never feel normal again. In some ways, it did change, but we got used to the new normal as the years went by.

Taking off our shoes at the airport and going through a scanner to check our bodies is part of what we do to travel.

When September 11th happened, Wayne was in Poland on a mission trip.

I remember thinking I couldn’t do this without him here. He is our rock and we needed Him with us.

It’s in times when we think we are all alone and can’t handle something that Jesus shows up and reminds us that He is all we need.

Over and over in my life, when I have thought I couldn’t get through a certain situation, the pain is too much, or it’s more than I can handle…it’s in those times Jesus has reminded me that He will walk with me and He holds me with His righteous right hand.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Even now, as our country is dealing with hard things, I know that none of this took Jesus by surprise. It’s important that we don’t live in fear.

If September 11th taught me anything, it’s that life is fragile, and it can be gone in an instant.

So I want to love well. I want to forgive quickly.

I have a small amount of time here on earth, and I want to live life to the fullest.

My prayer is that you would know that you are not alone, whatever you’re dealing with today, right now, Jesus wants to walk with you.

This song says….the ones only scars in heaven are the hands that hold you now.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. Revelation 21:4
