Happy Friday, gang! Well, this week flew by (I guess because it was short)! I was supposed to attend a fashion show yesterday at Neiman Marcus, but it looks like I won’t be going anywhere for a few days. Covid has finally made it to our house.
My husband tested positive yesterday. He got the monoclonal antibodies yesterday and, as of last night feeling a little rough. He hasn’t surfaced yet this morning so, we will see. I hope that treatment will knock it out.
I am waiting to see what happens, but I have been taking all the right vitamins for months now. So, I am thinking positively! Anyway, you know where I will be this weekend!
PLAID TEE
I walked outside this morning to let the dogs (have my grand dog too) out, and there was a crispness in the air. I re-posted a funny post on my Instagram Stories (sort of in a weird way!) from Gary Janetti.
It said, “Summer’s over. Time for pumpkins, leaves changing, and the next strain of Covid.” If he had just added plaid, it would have been awesome! Plaid always signals to fall for me. Remember when you would go “back to school” shopping, and there was plaid everything?
I was always drawn to plaid, and I still am.
I found this sophisticated plaid tee at Alice and Olivia back at the beginning of August. It’s a little bit more cropped than my other tees but works perfectly with higher waist jeans. Speaking of jeans, what do you think about these barrel-legged ones? I wasn’t sure about them when I first saw them hanging, but I actually liked them when I tried them.
Jeans are like bathing suits. You have to try on a lot of them! I like these because I will also be able to fit a bootie under them. I may purchase them in blue as well.
It’s also getting to be that time to bring out the leather (or faux) moto jacket. If you don’t have one, I personally think it’s one of those must-haves!

Today is my daughter’s birthday, and I am so sad that we can’t celebrate with her. We were supposed to have a little get-together for her here tonight. I am delivering a cake and her gifts to her (from afar) today.
What a bummer! I have a lot I can do around here this weekend. I am planning on cleaning out some closets upstairs. My life is so exciting that I can’t stand it!
