Happy Labor Day! I hope you’re enjoying some time off today. We don’t have any plans, and I hope to get some things done around the house.

Fall Color Trend to Try: Rust

My sweater is from J.Crew and is cashmere.

This is a sweater I can keep for years, but J.Crew Factory has a cotton/wool/nylon blend that is less expensive. The rust color is called Heather Burnished Rust.

I styled the rust sweater 5 different ways to show the versatility of this color. First, I styled it with jeans and chunky boots. I purchased these boots during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for $99.

Next, I styled the sweater with black pants.

Here I styled the sweater with boot-cut jeans.

It’s easy to wear a sweater over a black dress.

Lastly, I added a blue plaid shirt under the sweater and kept it casual with jeans and loafers.
