THINKING AHEAD TO JACKETS AND JEANS

Happy Friday, friends! What do you all have planned for the weekend? Today is my husband’s and my thirty-eighth anniversary! Can you all believe we started dating forty-two years ago?

What the heck? I still think I am thirty-eight! We are going to one of our favorite places for dinner tonight and then taking a quick trip soon. We didn’t want to leave our girl so soon after she had the baby.

I am hoping to do more errands for her so that I can make deliveries to her house this weekend. I have my secret ways of needing to be there (haha!)!

Today, I am partnering with Nordstrom and one last post for the Anniversary Sale. I try to post looks and products in all price ranges throughout the year. I get many requests for lesser-priced items, and the Nordstrom sale is the perfect time to get great buys on things you might need now, for fall and holiday gifts.

One thing I will tell you is to keep checking back if you don’t see your size. A little bird told me that there is some re-stocking of sizes happening. If you are not interested in this sale any longer, come back next week and see what’s up. I promise I will not be offended.

Jackets and jeans are probably what I get most excited about when it comes to the Nordstrom Sale because coats and jackets are usually what cost a little more and most of us need one or two each year (well, that’s kind of a stretch, we want them) and jeans are what I wear daily.

I thought this diamond quilted jacket from a Nordstrom brand, Treasure and Bond, was the perfect weight for warmer fall climates. This jacket is 100% cotton in a mid-weight and will be the perfect jacket for a Texas fall. It also comes in a pretty rust color. It’s hard to find a jacket under $100, but this one comes in under $95.

I didn’t know that Treasure and Bond from Nordstrom donate 2.5% of net sales to organizations that work to empower youth. I am so happy to know this! It’s a good thing that I also purchased this floral ruffle trim shirt from Treasure and Bond as well!

I also bought this cute camo print tee to wear under the jacket. This is from a designer brand called Nili Lotan.

I probably wouldn’t have bought it if it wasn’t part of the sale because after the sale is over, it goes back to the original price of $175, and now it is $116.90. This tee will be so fun under leather jackets and cardigans, too, in either black, brown, or the right shade of green! I have worn these Paige jeans so many times since I got them at the beginning of the sale. Of course, they are almost sold out, but I have linked my favorite jeans available in all sizes below.

I know the sandals might not be the shoe of choice with this outfit, but it was 100 degrees (while shooting this), and I actually would wear them with the tee and jeans! Can you spot my friends in the window?

One more section that I will be shopping the Nordstrom Sale from today is the baby section. I almost forgot that I could get some great deals for my grandkids! If you are expecting a grandbaby, they have lots to choose from, from baby outfits to strollers.
