Maybe it’s a long vacation, a stressful time in your life, getting back to more work hours after the whole 2020 WFH/cut hours/unemployment scenario – whatever it is that kept you from your usual workout routine, it’s tough getting back! Am I right? So I’m sharing 3 easy tips to help you get back to your workout routine. Of course, there are more things you can do to stay motivated, but let’s start with these easy ones, shall we?
3 Easy Tips To Get Back To Your Workout Routine
1 – Good Workout Clothes
You’ve probably heard about this a dozen times, but cute or good workout clothes that make you feel better about yourself is such a great motivator to work out!
Think about it, if you’re going to work out in your old tee and shorts, do you feel motivated to work out at all? But imagine wearing something cute and something that flatters your body type, don’t you feel motivated to actually work out in them? It’s that little thing that helps push you a bit to head to the gym or even work out in your backyard or at home, ‘ya know?
If you follow me on Instagram -> @styleanthropy, then you’ve probably seen me wear this pair of leggings all the time. I even shared a discount code: VTHREADSSTYLE20 for $20 off your order!
This is the VShred Seamless Flex Legging. It was sent to me by the team at V Shred. I was excited about it because I actually do the V Shred workouts!
This pair of leggings come in a bunch of colors like gray, lilac, red, blue, light blue, sage, and more. The thing I love about it is that its snug and holds you in but doesn’t feel constricting at all.
Also, the material is durable and not see-thru.
The leggings feature a high waist fit with ribbing to provide tummy-toning support during workouts…
Unique booty contouring to lift and support…
As well as a flattering design down the leg to slim and elongate.
Let’s be honest, who hates going to the gym because a lot of workout clothes make them feel insecure about their bodies? These features from the Seamless Flex Legging will help you feel more confident about your body and help you learn to love it while you’re making an effort to keep it fit and strong!
I’ve been wearing it for months and it’s still in pretty good shape. I even wear it just to walk the dogs, do lake house renos, and even to run errands. Make sure to check out their other workout clothes at www.vshredthreads.com.
Thanks to V Shreds for sending me a pair. It’s definitely in my top 3 or even top 2 leggings I love, and I’ve definitely tried a ton!
2 – Habit Tracker
Now that you’ve got the workout clothes down, it’s time to form that habit! You see, my issue was always about consistency. Maybe it’s not your weakness, but I can say for sure, based on my experience, that it’s mine and I’m sure I’m not alone.
You see, I’m always having a hard time squeezing in workout in my schedule. If I don’t have a set schedule or a To Do list for the day that includes working out, there’s a big chance I don’t do it.
I’m a List Person. I like ticking off boxes in my To Do lists. So I knew, I had to make a daily checklist with habits I want to form – including working out.
That’s why this Habit Tracker was so essential and helpful to me. And that’s why I shared it with you too. I am a living proof that this works… at least for people like me who go by lists! With this tracker stuck to the fridge (put it anywhere you frequent), I was checking off my list on an everyday basis.
But when I took it down from the lake house fridge (when we started the short term rentals), my habits also kinda went downhill! So because we are always going back and forth between two houses, I knew it had to be with me at all times – in my bag along with my wallet, phone, laptop, etc. It just makes it easier to see/access and check my progress whether I’m in Pittsburgh or at the lake house.
3 – Slowly Go Back to Your Workout Routine With This Easy Workout
Maybe you took some time off, it’s hard to get back to your usual 30-minute or 1-hour long workout, right? So why not slowly ease your way with this 7-minute workout routine?
I’ve linked it below.
I may have started it as a way to help me battle the weight gain that comes with endometriosis. But now, I don’t care about the numbers, it’s all about a fit and healthier body as I age! We’re not getting any younger, friends. We got to take care of ourselves!
And hopefully, these tips help you get back into the swing of things! And of course, I need to get back to my V Shred workouts too! Have you tried any of them?
