Mother’s Day 2021 Gift Guide
Let’s start with some bling bling, shall we? There are a ton of beautiful accessories and jewelry out there. But to keep this guide short and sweet, I’m sharing some of the pieces that caught my eye recently…
Jewelry/Accessories
Havana’s Hey Day is using glass beads in her latest collection. How pretty are these necklaces and bracelets?
Leo and Lynn Jewelry launched a Mother’s Day collection that’s just absolutely to die for.
Look at these necklaces with dried flowers in them!
Get Closet Rehab is having a 20% off sale site-wide for Mother’s Day right now (no code needed)… not to mention free shipping! So grab a fun pair of acrylic earrings or a cute purse for Mom (or yourself ).
Isn’t my half moon purse so cute?
Noonday Collection has a wide array of choices from artisans all over the globe. I recently picked up this Love necklace made in East Asia and this pair of gorgeous earrings made by Lulu from Ethiopia! Currently eyeing their rainbow clutch from Peru.
Check them out through my friend’s link here.
Azurina bags are the perfect affordable, yet trendy all leather bags – if that’s your thing, of course! The 90s bag trend is making a comeback and Azurina has them in cute colors and shapes! I shared more about Azurina here.
Home Decor
Mapiful customizable wall art like their star poster is a great sentimental gift that Mom can display in her home! Use code MAPIQ2 (valid until 6/30/2021) for 10% off your order!
You can choose her birthday or your birthday (when she became a Mom to you), or maybe another significant date that you and her celebrate.
Don’t forget to add some meaningful text or perhaps a short message to make it even more personal!
With a lot of designs and colors, you’re sure to find something that Mom will appreciate. Just an FYI, no guarantees you’ll get it in time. But if Mom is pretty chill, I’d still grab these and tell Mom her gift might be a little delayed. Check out Mapiful here.
Special thanks to Mapiful for sponsoring this star poster.
Coffee Table Book like this Make Life Beautiful book by Syd and Shea McGee from design duo, Studio McGee. If she loves the Studio McGee line at Target or their Netflix show, chances are she’ll love this book too!
It’s a great read but also a pretty hardcover book to put on the coffee table or her nightstand!
Beauty
How about some fun foaming hand wash? My Kirei by KAO Yuzu Foaming Hand Wash is my latest favorite hand wash. The brand sent me a bottle to try and I got mind-blown by the flower shape foam it dispenses every. single. time.
Just make sure your palm is dry and flat when you press on the top to get that perfect yuzu flower shape!

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream is one of the really good ones I’ve tried in my life. Now, they have a gel version that’s perfect for warmer season. I’ve started using them when temps went up to 80s last week!
Now while I am loving the product, some of you have reached out and mentioned that Kiehl’s isn’t animal cruelty-free. So I did some digging and this is what the brand has to say:
Since 1989, we have not tested the safety of our products on animals, 14 years before regulations required us to do so.
There are effective non-animal ways to ensure the safety of cosmetic products. For example, over 40 years ago we led the development of human reconstructed skin that is more accurate for analyzing how cosmetic ingredients and products will behave on human skin. We continue to pioneer new non-animal methods and technologies.
Kiehl’s is under L’Oreal and so they follow their animal testing policy. While the statement above means they aren’t testing on animals.
There is a fine print that says:
Certain health authorities may nevertheless decide to conduct animal tests themselves for certain cosmetic products, as it is still the case in China.
If you’d like to learn more about their animal testing policy, read more about it here. Some would argue that because they still sell in China, they are supporting testing on animals. So they aren’t animal cruelty-free. I am 50/50 on this.
Of course I don’t support animal testing. But because I’m not an expert on how these processes work, I couldn’t put the blame on L’Oreal. I don’t think the solution is to not sell in China – because if I were a resident there, I’d say that’s discrimination. Nevertheless, the brand and the governing body handling this should be able to agree or create a solution to end testing on animals in that country.
Last but not least, something fancy but will not break the bank from Dior… something for the face or perhaps lippies, your budget, your pick!
I love love love their powders because they double up as cute compact mirrors afterwards!
They truly are a piece of luxury without breaking the bank. Plus, I love a lot of their beauty products! Their browstyler is my favorite brow pencil ever. And their lip glow is the one lip product that I use 90% of the time – wherever I go.
I only reach for lipstick if I have an important photoshoot or major event. But for day-to-day, especially heading out with a mask? The lip glow is my only go-to!
Grab the new bronzer here (above) or the mineral powder here (below).
Happy Mother’s Day shopping! Hope this Mother’s Day gift guide helps you out!
