Good Morning from the Arctic, formally known as Dallas! Guys, we flew back from Naples a day early (Sunday) to beat the weather, and boy, did we get the weather. Lots of snow and extreme cold (for Dallas). We lost our power on Monday and didn’t get it back on until yesterday morning (rolling power outages). My son and daughter-in-law, and her mom have been without power the entire time. They all came over here yesterday to stay with us. We have our fingers crossed that they don’t turn off our power again. I feel so bad because so many do not have power, and that is a question that many will be asking when all of this is over. Why did our power company and ERCOT turn off the power in neighborhoods? What is up with our grid?
FAVORITE CASHMERE SWEATER
Anyway, today I am showing my favorite cashmere sweater that I purchased this year. This is from Alice & Olivia, and it is truly the softest sweater ever! I purchased it back in December, and this color is now gone, but there are a few other colors available. The sweater has a slightly cropped front and a little longer back. I paired a high/low shirt underneath to let it hang out from the sweater. And I linked a few that are similar to mine below.
I am wearing my new favorite jean here.
I won’t wear ripped (at the knee) jeans anymore because I don’t think it is flattering on me (read about it here). This jean is ripped, but it has a patch under the rip giving it a distressed look without exposing the skin. They also have a great fit! I am wearing a size 24. I am wearing my Veronica Beard leopard heel booties (sold out), but you can easily get this same look because there are so many leopard booties available.

We had so much fun celebrating our grandson’s birthday over the weekend. I can’t believe he’s eight! Both of the kids seem so much older than the last time we saw them. I don’t like being away from them and wish we were closer. They are coming here in a few weeks, so we have something to look forward to! Not much else to report since we are stuck inside for another day or two. I hope you all are staying warm and have power wherever you are!
Have a great and warm day!
