Our countries current civil unrest has many of us experiencing frustration, fear, and a meld of other feelings. I am certain that there are some of you who feel a bit of guilt for not on the frontlines protesting like many in the Black community and community supporters. However, with the Coronavirus still being out in these streets and not everyone being radical enough for a face-off, I want you to know that you have options. While protesting is a great way to use your voice and support black people, there are many forms of protesting racial injustices.
In times like these, I feel obligated to remind women of our power, not only do we have the ability to withhold our coins from businesses that have shown they don’t care about Black issues in America but we can also support those that do. Even more appropriate is the need to support Black businesses, many of whom were already struggling due to Covid-19 Now thanks to the justified uprising some are attempting to rebuild in the midst of businesses around them literally being burned to the ground. With that in mind, I am sharing a few Black-owned businesses you can support because just like Black Lives Matter, Black businesses matter too.
