Jennifer Lopez Wore an Homage to Kamala Harris on Inauguration Day

Around this time last year, Jennifer Lopez was performing at the Super Bowl in Miami, shortly before COVID-19 took hold. Today, she performed in an entirely different setting: the United States Capitol for the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Wearing a white pantsuit by Chanel, Lopez sang a rendition of "America the Beautiful" and Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is My Land." Her swingy coat and wide-leg trousers looked beautiful in suffragette white. My favorite aspect of her outfit, however, was her subtle homage to VP Harris: a pearl bracelet. As The New York Times reported, many women were planning to wear pearls today to emulate Harris, who has become known for her signature pearl necklaces and earrings.
