The Bible tells us that the best way to lose bitterness is to be forgiving. In Ephesians 4:32, Paul wrote, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

Hebrews 12:15 made the subject of bitterness clearer: “See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that ‘no root of bitterness springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled.”

It’s easy to understand that if someone takes on bitterness, the root can grow into a tree and take over the person’s life.
